A New Zealand-born South Korean singer and songwriter, main vocalist of BLACKPINK. Born Roseanne Park on February 11, 1997, she grew up in New Zealand and Australia before training under YG Entertainment. She is signed to THEBLACKLABEL for management and Atlantic Records for solo releases. Her fandom is called BLINK (shared with BLACKPINK).

APT. and rosie

Rosé’s solo journey started with the 2021 single album R and its tracks “On the Ground” — which debuted at number one on the Billboard Global 200 — and “Gone.” Then came three years of building quietly before her full debut.

In October 2024, she and Bruno Mars released “APT.” — named after the Korean drinking game that inspired it. The song topped the Billboard Global 200 and became one of the biggest pop crossovers of that year, accumulating over one billion YouTube views. Her debut album rosie followed on December 6, 2024, on Atlantic Records — twelve tracks, no features, entirely her own voice. The opener, “Number One Girl,” is about reading negative comments on herself after what was supposed to be a triumphant night out. It is the most unguarded she has ever sounded.

BLACKPINK’s return

Rosé rejoined BLACKPINK for the Deadline World Tour — the group’s first all-stadium tour, launched July 2025 — which included landmark shows at Wembley Stadium in London, making BLACKPINK the first K-pop girl group to headline the venue. The tour ran through January 2026. BLACKPINK’s EP Deadline was released in February 2026, their first group project since Born Pink (2022).

Where to start listening

“APT.” (2024) — The crossover moment. One of the most globally viral pop collaborations of 2024.

“Number One Girl” (2024) — The emotional centerpiece of rosie and the best place to understand what she was trying to say.

“On the Ground” (2021) — Her debut solo track. Still one of her most musically distinctive releases.
