A eight-member boy band — Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N — formed by JYP Entertainment in 2017. What sets them apart in K-pop is their strong creative autonomy: the group self-produces the majority of their music through their in-house production unit, 3Racha.
After debuting in 2018, they built a dedicated global fanbase with their signature sound. Their 2020 studio album Go Live and its lead single “God’s Menu” marked a turning point, establishing them as a major act. Following their signing with Republic Records in 2022, their releases — including Oddinary, Maxident, 5-Star, Rock-Star, Ate, Hop, Karma, and Do It — all debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, making them the first act ever to achieve this with their first eight charted releases. Their album 5-Star was certified for five million sales by the Korea Music Content Association, one of only three groups to reach this milestone in South Korea. As of December 2024, total album sales exceed 31 million copies worldwide.
They appeared on Time magazine’s Next Generation Leaders list in 2023 and Forbes Asia’s 30 Under 30 in 2025, and received South Korea’s Prime Minister’s Commendation for their contributions to Korean pop culture.
