From music charts to philately. BLACKPINK has officially arrived on a stamp.
Korea’s Korea Post (우정사업본부) announced on May 7th that a set of 10 commemorative BLACKPINK stamps will be officially issued on June 16th. Pre-orders open on May 12th at 7 PM KST through the Internet Post Office — membership required — and run through May 15th for both domestic and international buyers.
For international fans, the stamps will be available via YG’s global official store YG SELECT (in English, Japanese, and Chinese), as well as through the Korea Post international stamp sales site.
What’s in the set — and what it’ll cost
The collection includes 10 commemorative stamp designs featuring the four members. A stamp packet is also available, containing the stamps alongside portrait imagery of BLACKPINK. Pricing is straightforward: the full 10-stamp set runs ₩8,800 KRW, while the commemorative packet is priced at ₩25,000 KRW.
Why a stamp set makes perfect sense
BLACKPINK isn’t just a pop group — they’re a cultural export that has redefined what K-pop can achieve globally. Since their August 2016 debut, hits like ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU,’ ‘Kill This Love,’ and ‘How You Like That’ have dominated major international charts. Their 2nd full album ‘BORN PINK’ made them the first K-pop girl group to achieve double million-seller status, and their 3rd mini album ‘DEADLINE’ set the all-time first-week sales record for a K-pop girl group.
Korea Post President Park In-hwan put it plainly: “We consider it meaningful to issue commemorative stamps for BLACKPINK, who are spreading K-pop to the world.”
A stamp is one of the oldest forms of national recognition. For BLACKPINK, it feels long overdue.
