Nearly three years of silence. Then, out of nowhere, a coming soon drop.

Starship Entertainment surprised fans on May 4th by releasing a teaser video announcing that MONSTA X unit Shownu X Hyungwon will be returning with a new mini album titled ‘LOVE ME’ this month. No buildup, no slow tease — just a sudden announcement that sent the fandom into a frenzy.

The teaser itself is worth a closer look. A scale with an apple. Candy and flower petals. Spilled water. An apple engraved with the words ‘LOVE ME.’ The imagery is layered and deliberate — elegant, slightly surreal, and just cryptic enough to keep fans guessing about the direction of the album.

This comeback marks their first release as a unit in approximately two years and ten months, since their debut mini album ‘THE UNSEEN’ in July 2023. That first outing set the bar high — Hyungwon produced the title track ‘Love Me A Little,’ while Shownu handled the choreography, resulting in a project that felt genuinely personal and polished.

The two have continued to prove their individual strengths in the time since — holding down stages at various festivals and performances, consistently showcasing their distinctive vocal colors and a combined stage presence that fills a room with just two people.

With the ‘2026 MONSTA X WORLD TOUR [THE X : NEXUS]’ currently underway, the timing of this unit comeback adds another layer of excitement for global fans. More details will be revealed through MONSTA X’s official social media channels in the coming days.

The wait is almost over.
