BIGBANG is set to begin a new journey with global fans to mark their 20th debut anniversary.
On the 1st, BIGBANG unveiled a ‘BIGBANG OFFICIAL 6th V.I.P COMING SOON’ poster through their official social media channels, announcing the fan club recruitment. This marks the first official fan club recruitment in approximately 11 years, since the 5th generation in 2015.
The poster featured the ‘Bang Bong’ light stick, the iconic symbol of BIGBANG’s fandom V.I.P. Countless yellow light sticks glowing in a dark space created a breathtaking visual, evoking memories of the time shared between BIGBANG and their fans, while also heightening anticipation for the upcoming 20th anniversary projects.
The 6th generation fan club recruitment will be held through BIGBANG’s official community on the global fandom platform Weverse (b.stage). BIGBANG had previously revamped their official community and social media channels to expand their communication with fans, and through this, they are expected to engage more actively with V.I.Ps around the world.
YG Entertainment stated, “We prepared the official fan club recruitment to breathe more closely alongside the fans who have protected BIGBANG’s name for so long,” adding, “Please look forward to the new 20th anniversary journey that the artists and V.I.Ps will write together.”
Meanwhile, BIGBANG recently signaled the start of their 20th debut anniversary project with a performance at the US festival Coachella (Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival). Having proven their enduring presence to an enthusiastic local crowd, they are set to launch a world tour in August to continue meeting fans across the globe.
